MONDAY–THURSDAY / PRACTICE, PEOPLE AND POSSIBILITY

Focused work.
Room to breathe.

01

Practice & personal coaching

Use daytime sessions for focused practice or a private lesson with Nic. Bring the hymns, accompaniments and repertoire you want to strengthen.

02

Lunch with Nic each day

Make space for conversation about music, worship, repertoire and the practical realities of serving a congregation.

03

Discover St. Augustine

Visit the city during the week, with time away from the keyboard to enjoy its history and atmosphere.

04

Share a final performance

The four visiting pianists and Nic prepare a closing performance together: five pianists sharing the music they have developed.

MUSIC FOR THE WORK YOU ACTUALLY DO

Bring your Sunday music.
Build your confidence.

Hymns & congregational singing

Shape introductions, phrasing, tempo and transitions that help a congregation sing together.

Accompanying others

Work on listening, following singers, rehearsal preparation and dependable ensemble playing.

Technique & interpretation

Develop fluency, voicing, sight-reading, chords and expression around your current needs.

THE WEEK ENDS / THE ENCOURAGEMENT CONTINUES

Return to your church.
Keep your musical community.

The workshop is designed around four pianists who continue supporting one another: sharing practice goals, encouraging progress and staying connected after returning home. Contact-sharing arrangements are agreed with the group.

This monthly one-week workshop is a separate program from the five-participant weekend intensive. The workshop’s closing performance is part of the St. Augustine week.

MONTHLY / CHURCH-SPONSORED CONTINUING EDUCATION

Invest in the musician.
Strengthen the ministry.

Offered each month as a continuing-education and professional-development opportunity for church musicians and worship leaders. Churches can sponsor a staff member or volunteer for a focused week of musical growth, reflection and shared practice.

Bring the published course description, learning outcomes and tuition details to your church when requesting professional-development funding. Funding approval rests with your church; participation is purchased for a specific confirmed workshop week.

Return with a practical plan

Develop a personal practice plan, a repertoire-development plan and rehearsal strategies you can use in your church. Share a closing musical presentation that puts the week’s work into practice.

Choose your preferred month when speaking with Nic. Exact dates and arrangements are confirmed before registration or payment.

TUITION / A CLEAR PICTURE
